The Prizes

The Art Rights Prize offers over 30 prizes that will be awarded to the finalist artists selected by the Jury, for a total value of over € 100,000 in cash and services in recognition of personal merit and as an encouragement in the interest of the community.

In addition to the prizes awarded by the Jury of Experts, Art Rights Prize thanks to its Partners offers further awards in services and presents the Special Audience Prize, thanks to which all participating artists will have the opportunity to promote their art thanks to the digital platform: the greater the votes received, the more opportunities they will have to win the final prize in public money.

The Jury

Art Rights Prize with a view to sharing and meeting professionals and experts in the sector, submits the works of the candidate artists to the attention of a Jury made up of 15 experts from the international art system and market, 3 for each artistic category.

In addition to the category juries, a Jury was formed for the “Partners Prize”.

Art Rights Prize intends to involve all the candidate artists and announce the winners of the “Audience Prize”, where the Selection Jury will be the voting audience on the digital platform to support their favorite artist.

LUCA BEATRICE

Curator | art critic

Luca Beatrice was born in 1961 in Turin, where he lives.

Lecturer in art history at the Albertina Academy in Turin, at the IAAD in Turin and professor of contemporary art and culture in Milan. Art critic and curator of exhibitions, he collaborates on the cultural pages of Il Giornale, he also writes on Tuttosport and Linkiesta.

His latest book was published in May 2020, entitled “Art is freedom? Censorship and censors at the time of the web ”for Giubiliei Regnani.

Maria Chiara Valacchi is an art critic, independent curator and art writer based in Milan.

In 2010 she founded and curated the non-profit spazio Cabinet in Milan which hosted a series of recognized mid-career international artists.

In 2014 she founded and is editor-in-chief of “Paint!” an online platform exclusively dedicated to the dissemination and research of the best contemporary painting, the first to use the direct contribution of illustrious international painters.

Since 2015 she has been an international contributor of “ArtForum International Magazine” and since 2017 of “Il Corriere della Sera” and “Il Fatto Quotidiano” for which he is responsible for the thematic columns dedicated to Contemporary Art.

As an independent curator she has to her credit over eighty exhibitions held in private and public spaces, among the most recent “Supercolla”, a project on the Superleggera by Giò Ponti, created in Milan involving Italian and foreign artists and designers, all organized for the Museum of Art Modern and Contemporary of San Marino.

Among the main magazines with which he collaborated: Artforum, Flash Art, Arte e Critica, Arte, Muse and Inside.

Marta Giani, Director, Expert of the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art, has worked with Sotheby’s Italy since 2006.

She joins the Sotheby’s team in Milan, where he began his career as a Junior Specialist for the Modern and Contemporary Art department.

Always in close contact with her colleagues in London, Paris and New York for international valuations and auctions, she has been Deputy Director and fulcrum of the Milan department since 2012.

SERENA TABACCHI

Serena Tabacchi is an entrepreneur, curator and digital writer. She worked at TATE Modern and is co-founder and director of MoCDA, the Museum of Contemporary Digital Art.

She is currently researching how to curate digital art exhibition online and in IRL (real life) . Serena regularly writes for The Observer and has curated the past editions of CADAF (Contemporary & Digital Art Fair) alongside the Lumen Art Projects.

Serena is an ambassador for Diversity and Inclusion at the Blockchain Game Alliance, where she organizes weekly events on Art, Gaming and Blockchain. Serena is currently developing an art and gaming experience in The Sandbox Game and is co-curating a research exhibition project with UCL (University College London) in collaboration with Hobs 3D.

Karen has previously worked at Sotheby’s London Private Client Group where she was responsible for European and Asian clients.

Prior to this, she worked at a number of other leading art institutions and auction houses such as Phillips and Asia Society, and coordinated the successful “Art of the World” project at the Shanghai World Expo in 2010.

She founded the events agency “The Art of this Century”, providing tailor-made experiences and special encounters in the world of art, while in 2019 she co-founded AiKA – Strategy & Art Connection.

Karen actively participates in the construction of her family’s private collection, DSLcollection, an important Western collection focused on Chinese contemporary art.

Carolina Ciuti is a curator of contemporary art. She graduated in History and Protection of Artistic Heritage at the University of Florence and then specialized in Contemporary Art with a Masters degree at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London.

She currently holds the position of artistic director of the LOOP video art festival in Barcelona, ​​where she has worked with internationally recognized artists such as Regina de Miguel, Agnes Meyer-Brandis, Aleksandra Mir, Muntadas, Steina and Woody Vasulka and Anton Vidokle.


Her curatorial projects have been exhibited at Cinéphèmère-FIAC Paris, the Filmoteca de Catalunya, Fabra i Coats – Center d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona, ​​MACBA and Real Cercle Artístic. Sveva D’Antonio after various internships in contemporary art galleries in Naples and Brussels, she started working at the Laveronica gallery in Modica initially as an assistant and then became a partner in 2016.
